Women's Leadership in Local Government

In the last two decades number of women involved in politics locally and nationally has increased.  Nevertheless, there is limited empirical work investigating increase female candidates for position mayor. To fill this gap literature, we conducted interviews with 57 72 mayor Israel before October 2018 elections, 37 after election. addition, interviewed 11 male men elected as mayors election, well. On individual level regard to political ambition, found that are four components whose synergy results more being encouraged run mayor: mentoring, information, networking training. We called model MINT model, which emerged from candidates. societal level, it important public awareness importance gender representation hence, voting be mayors.
